Frequently asked questions

Is Zveltio really free — including the extensions?
Yes. Zveltio and all official extensions are MIT-licensed and free forever. You can use them commercially without restrictions. Third-party extensions on the marketplace may have their own pricing set by the developer.
What does "self-hosted" mean in practice?
You run Zveltio on your own server — a €20/month VPS handles most workloads. There are no per-seat fees, no API call limits, and no data leaving your infrastructure. You pay only for the server you choose.
Why are Romanian compliance extensions free?
Because we believe public institutions and SMEs in Romania shouldn't pay extra for compliance with local legislation. e-Factura, SAF-T, e-Transport and procurement extensions are all included at no cost.
What is the marketplace then?
The marketplace is where third-party developers can publish and monetize their own Zveltio extensions. All official extensions from the Zveltio team are free; community extensions may be free or paid depending on the author.
